A little about us and why we are doing this.
We are Steve & Donna Carl and Route 66 has been a major point in our life
growing up. Steve was born about 5 miles south of Route 66 in Springfield
MO and Donna was born about 2 miles north of Route 66 between Halltown
and Albatross MO. In our whole life we have never lived over 10 miles from
Route 66 and it was the mainstay of all traveling. Our parents were actually
born before the inception of Route 66 and they never lived more than 20
miles away from the Mother Road throughout their entire lives.
Steve became licensed through the Southern Baptist Church and ordained
in the Free Methodist Church. Steve & Donna are now traveling evangelist
mainly in the Eastern part of the United States.
We have officiated at over 650 weddings/vow renewals since 2008 and we
Love to travel so this is where the Roamin' Chapel comes in.
The Roamin' Chapel was built to be used in 2011 at the Ozark Empire Fair
in Springfield, MO for their 75th anniversary of the fair, so it was built in the
likeness of 1935 era. The trailer which the Roamin' Chapel sits on is over 50
years old and is being reconditioned to take the bounce and tumble roads
on Route 66.
It has always been our dream to travel Route 66 not just once but many
times and many people we have spoken too has made the comment about
"Gettin' Hitched on Route 66". That's what we are here for or should I say
out there for.
Our plan for the present is to make two round trips yearly just to meet and
great all travelers and enjoy the sights along this beautiful part of
More info below.
Our Route schedules will be listed on here as it will get lost on Facebook.
We hope to see everyone on the Route but sometimes schedules do not match up.
Since we live in Southwest Missouri we have thought about doing you Vow Renewal still on Route 66 with
the Roamin' Chapel by meeting you on the Route.
If you have a special place on Route 66 why not get married there or have your Vow Renewal?
We have decided not to add a mileage charge between Springfield Mo to Joplin, MO
We highly recommend doing a Vow Renewal wherever we go due to laws and time involved to purchase
you license in whatever State you are in. But we do not discourage weddings.

(Genesis 2:24; 1 Corinthians 6:16). When expressed within
marriage, sexual intimacy is a great blessing and source
of fulfillment. The sanctity of marriage between one man
and one woman is to be protected against all manner of
immoral conduct (Exodus 22:16-17; Deuteronomy 22:23-
28; Leviticus 20:10-16).

sub-paragraph 5 reads

Homosexual intimacy is regarded by the Scriptures as immoral
because it is a distortion of God’s created order. The
Scriptures speak explicitly against homosexual intimacy
(Leviticus 18:22; 20:13; Romans 1:26, 27; 1 Timothy 1:8-10).
All persons are accountable to God for their thoughts,
words and deeds (Romans 14:12; 1 Corinthians 6:9, 10).
For those who have fallen, the grace of God is available
and completely adequate to forgive and deliver (1 John
1:9; Hebrews 7:25; Luke 4:18; 1 Corinthians 6:9-11). Because
the sexual desire is so powerful, counseling is recommended
as a part of the church’s pastoral care.
The church has a corporate responsibility to be God’s agent
of transformation to persons as they learn to live a Christian
life that is wholesome and pure. We oppose cultural
mores and laws that legitimize adultery, pre-marital, postmarital
and homosexual intimacy.
We live by our Faith in our Lord and Savior and ask others to
respect our beliefs as we respect yours.
We can not perform Same Sex marriages which doesn't mean
we don't observe them we just can't perform them.

Disclaimer: Since we are affiliated with the Free Methodist
Church our book of Discipline states and we adhere by it.

From October 20, 2020 through October 24, 2020
we will be going from East to West Kansas, Oklahoma and if time allows Texas.
